The CW has picked up two pilots, including an update of the 1990s action-thriller "La Femme Nikita" and a family drama that brings the producers of "Gilmore Girls" back to the network.
The French film "Nikita," about a young criminal who's trained to be an assassin by a top-secret government organization, was originally made by Luc Besson in 1990, then was remade in 1993 as a U.S. film starring Bridget Fonda called "Point of No Return." The story was then launched as a TV series in 1997 on USA Network.
"Nikita" will give The CW its first non-supernatural action-drama. In this version, Nikita goes rogue and a new assassin is trained to replace her.
McG ("Terminator: Salvation," "Human Target") will executive producethe "Nikita" remake, along with Peter Johnson and Craig Silverstein (episodes of "Bones," "K-Ville"),who will write and exec produce. The show is from Warner Bros. andWonderland Prods.
The CW is also ordering an untitled family drama set on a Wyoming horse farm that returns "Gilmore Girls" producing team Amy Sherman Palladino and Dan Palladino to the network.

these two actors will have to go way beyond the extra mile to be equal or better than the classic LaFemmne Nikita. Michael never had any expression on his face except with his son Adam and the mother of Adam, and more so with Nikita. HE was a cold blooded killer. NO frowns, no nothing, he and Nikita made love with their eyes, and at times we got glimpses of them actually together. These two actors had the best chemistry I have ever seen in a show. Wonder how these two will do. I just watch the old one, prob shouldn't have done that, now it will be even harder to hang in there to see with the new Nikita series goes with this. Nikita wasn't a snot, this girl looks like they have written her up to be a down right conceeded snot…guess we will see soon…
