Clean sweeps: Fox pushes ‘Dollhouse’

UPDATED: Just as Fox hinted, the network will push the struggling "Dollhouse" off its lineup for November sweeps and will air higher-rated programming instead.

Unfortunately for "Dollhouse," higher-rated programming means repeats of other Fox dramas, like "House" and "Bones."

Fox will then burn off "Dollhouse" (sorry, no other way to look at it), by airing episodes in two-hour chunks for three Fridays in December.

Also, all-but-canceled Friday night freshman comedy "Brothers" will be moved to Sundays at 7 p.m.

In other words: Let's clean this house, company's comin' over and we want to look spiffy.

UPDATE: Joss Whedon on the news "we'll have an absurdly appropriate lead-in"
